Andrew finally got me to watch Stranger Things over the past week or so. The timing is not surprising as the new season came out today, but who would have known it would be so well-timed for a couple of Londoners? There are a lot of Stranger Things in London these days…
It seems to be everywhere in London this Halloween! It started with Topshop and their recently launched collaboration with the show. They’ve released a whole line of clothing and accessories, Topshop X Stranger Things, inspired by the show.
The store’s windows are decked out in scenes from the series, taking you into the Byers home.
You can go into the Hawkins lab and test your telekinesis in full view of the passerbys on the street. It was wild!
Inside the store, the collection was on full display.
My favourite was the locker display, complete with a special tribute to Barb.
Apparently, I missed Castle Byers, which is in the Top Man section. I will probably go back just to see it. And to continue to debate buying a t-shirt. You can see more on Topshop’s blog here: How We Turned Topshop Oxford Circus Upside Down.
But that’s not all…
It has even taken over the Tube station at Oxford Circus.
There have been reports of seeing the logo spraypainted around Soho, and I saw a Stranger Things branded trailer parked near Golden Square. I also saw a stranger wearing a Stranger Things t-shirt during my lunch break. Spooky!
Tonight, we’re off to mingle with our fellow Americans at a spooky Soho happy hour, so I will keep my eyes peeled for further stranger things.
Now it wouldn’t be London without a couple themed pop-up events. Here are some Stranger Things London events that look prettyyyy cool:
